Central iowa | Main thing I got it if it" organic"- for less green house gas emissions.. Really, how? Old way of organic is to till ground how many times to get rid of weeds before planting , plant, rotary hoe weeds when crop is little, cultivate weeds and cultivate again and possibly cultivate the 3rd time... To get rid of weed seed after harvest worse case, plow it under.... I can see no till but have to use chemicals to keep weeds in check?.. *These dreamers don't no crap but how to wash the brains of non farmers.* Edit - maybe he is thinking we can hire all the people that are laying off or letting in the US to keep the fields clean! Our yealds will drop cuz what are we going to use for fertilizer if organic- not livestock manure....I AM NOT MAKING FUN OF ANY ORGANIC operation because we all do ( right now) what we think is best for ourselves. We do some no till and could do more on the more rollie ground but we are really flat here so tillage is more in our favor right now
