Those kind of educated people sure just make me shake my head. I think I would have told them they needed to scale down to a tiny home because of their carbon footprint and also just to use a composting toilet. I can't count on one hand how many meetings I've ever been in and people start on the mantra about not using water, we have to conserve it like it's going to be extinct. I then go and explain to them how water is on the planet, and to what extent our own bodies are made up of water.
Just need to throw another spin on them and tell them with all this new green energy solar and wind that they can now pump all the water they want for free! That with every flush of that toilet they are just helping complete the life cycle of water quicker with green energy and no dinosaurs were harmed in pooping.
