So you are saying it may NOT be crazy to hedge new crop in U with a current .22 premium, expecting to go go to a carry and gain a little? Seems risky this year but maybe not.
Am thinking the play will be to set basis against Sep for old crop upriced corn if it gets to something like $1.20 over Sep @ STL and then sell a Sep corn call @ whatever price July futures is trading @ and say come and get me. |
