I think a nuclear based grid with supplemental renewable energy should be the goal.
There is no reason to burn coal when we can use safer designed nuclear reactors.
Me too. I recently heard Bill Gates on 60 Minutes or somewhere say that we will have to use nuclear power to supplement hydro, solar and wind power. Work is on going on building a safer nuclear plant that creates less toxic waste.
