. Their lobbyists could have kept it from happening if they had gotten off their dead hind ends and realized what a disaster was coming.

They had to pass to see what was in it. Then, I guess it was "well we passed it so just leave it be.". More and more I believe it designed to fail to bring in universal care.

The health system appears to be like a bureaucracy not so different than government. The system doesn't like change. In healthcare we have so much focus on the paperwork shuffling and disconnected so far from the doctor-patient relationship. Like it takes an hour hassle around a 8 minute visit. The local doctor in the 1880 westerns didn't have adminstrative staff (nor the medical tools)

A doctor visit is a patient, doctor, support care staff, and a building. The profit is wrung out in the back office and C-suites.

It's complex to build in profits.

Too damm many specialist’s today, in the old days the doc worked on everything from your toenails to your eyebrows and delivered a baby in between. Now if the doc can’t figure it out he will send you to some other know it all and round and round you go and pretty soon you are back to him and still have not figured out the problem.
In the mean time the bill is racking up and has nothing to do with politics.
