I am not really following what you are trying to do. Are you going to do a classic AP setup? I am assuming you have a 372 feeding the NAV. My guess is a Pro 700 is connected to the NAV and conducting steering currently.
Yes I would like to just steal the NEMA from the diagnostic Port on the Nav 3 and import it into the 2050 and avoid adding an AG25 to the roof of this tractor.
I have another 2050 using the Classic autopilot 372 setup and that's where I'm getting the idea from.
If you are just trying to port in NMEA data, it really isn't that difficult on the 2050 using the FMX+ app. Connect the EXP, set it up in settings/system/ports if I remember correcty. When on that screen, there are like three different ways you can set it up. Each one gives an explanation of how it is being setup in reference to how it was used on a FMX. You will set it up so it acts like port A/B as this is where you would port in generic NMEA. Make sure your baud and 8N1 match and you should have it.
Thanks for confirming my thoughts. Do you think I could do it without the EXP 100? just use Port A on the TM-200 |
