It's sometimes fun finding family history. Last year, I found some tin on an old shed that had T J Kempf Pilot Grove, Mo stensiled on the backside. Kempf was my mothers maiden name, so I asked her about it. T J Kempf was her grandpa. My dad's dad bought this farm in 1948. I thought it was pretty cool to find Great Grandpa's name (on my Mother's side) on Grandpa's (Father's side) farm. Patrick


That's neat Patrick - I had a guy tell me that most aeromotor windmills left the factory with the new owners name painted on one of the tower braces. We had one in pieces we had been using for fence braces for years. I dug in the pile and found a angle iron with my Great-uncles great uncles name on it. I own that farm now, so that was a nice find.
