I have to say this about Rush - he always had clips or transcripts of what actual people said. I really didn't hear that other places. ie. I think it's important to hear biden suggest we put our farms in land banks rather than hear media spin or nothing at all. I don't care to hear what cnn says and usually turn off any show that's just outraged at what another media person said. However, Rush would occasionally read a story from someone else that did a good job of explaining a situation. Overall he was very very good at his craft. I liked his humor when he still did it.
To me the folks that flat out disagree seem to think gov't and media are the smart people and we should be hanging on their every edict. I guess that's fine until you figure out that those folks are no smarter than anyone else and often have unacceptable motives. I think this is what speaking truth to power is. We don't have much of that now. | |
