Glasgow, Ky | Ryan, I think much of the problem stems from selfishness and the "it's all about me" mentality. Just because someone disagrees with you, be it about politics, religion, wearing a mask, getting a covid shot etc it is their right. If you disagree with them, it should be done in a respectful and civil manner. Some folks have a huge problem doing this. One example I find ironic involves religion. One of the basic tenants of Christianity is to love others but some Christians show anything but love when faced with an opinion or belief contrary to theirs. If one claims it, live it. If people would adhere to this the world would be a much better place to live in. |
