2" of ice here Thursday night into Friday. Below freezing temps since then. 4-6" of snow last night, and windy. Still below freezing.our power went off yesterday at 9:30a, came back on about 1:30p. Off again at 7:30 last night. Hasn't been on since. Getting cool in the house now, about 45*. Have found a temporary source of heat, maybe it'll help. Uncomfortable, but not unbearable. I would much rather it be the normal 65* in the house, but that's not where we're at right now. Many more have it worse than we do.
Edit to add: The power crews are doing everything they can, and I for one, truly appreciate their efforts. Not badmouthing those guys one bit!
Hope you have learned something from this ordeal and get an auto generator, so when the electric utility fails to provide in the future, you can provide for yourself. Electricity reliability is going to get worse going forward IMO. |
