South Central MN | I love our hitchdoc, but don't have front 3pt/pto on our challenger. You are right, cvt/ivt makes blowing snow so much easier. If you really want to make your life easier, put a hydraulic 3rd link on there. Being able to change the angle of cut is like being able to hydraulically adjust your skid shoe depth. Very handy if you have rolling ground or want to change from leaving an inch of snow on gravel to scraping every flake off of concrete.
I think our 645c is rated at 235 engine hp. For funsies, I backed our 9ft Hitdoc blower into a tall pile of skidloader-piled/packed snow. Dropped the cvt to a crawl. It dragged the tractor down, but didn't stop it once just kept chewing through it, and the pile was taller than the blower. It is a beast.
