I’ve strip tilled corn into cereal rye in the past. I have left check strips with no cover crop. I have not seen that much yield difference. I have only seen a couple bushel increase to same yield as no cover.

You don’t say who “us” is. You don’t say how data will be used or what you are looking to prove or disprove. You don’t say what form or placement is “right”.

I will not comment further without more openness on your end.

Edit. I have cereal rye cover on some ground this year and am still experimenting.
