Central Indiana | Imho and our soils, i'm wanting to see ats applied in the soil, or incorporated, not on top. Either in starter, sprayed on then worked, or sidress. Im not a fan of ams, due to it can reduce ph levels quicker than other sulphur sources. But with the only 2 options, ams might be better. You can't get elemental sulphur? There are new premium products out there that might be worth making a call about. 50% elemental and another form that is capsulized so it breaks down overtime. I have no idea what the cost is, just know it's out there. Just fyi. While s is being taken up throughout it's life, most of it is taken up from v10 through till dent. We have to keep enough around or available for earfill. I'm with graintrader, I have no idea on hay. Ats salt content load is extremely high on something growing. Just my 2 cents | |
