Chebanse, IL..... | SSI, Yes, I agree w/you that IF proper procedure(s) is/are followed, then all is good. However, after hundreds of hours driving an atv, you just habitually shut off the engine switch when dismounting. It works best that way. ATV starts good so no problem. However, if you've got a 2600 aboard, you can suddenly lose many hours worth of work. It looks to us like the A-B straight lines stay saved even with inadvertant shutdown, however the A+B curves are gone. No file name, no data. So, we get to go back & do the A+B curves. I'm sure something could happen in the tractor or combine the same way, couldn't it? If you blew a fuse you might lose a days worth of combine data? Or say you fried the alternator or something that we're not thinking of right now. I'm not asking for a battery to run the 2600 for a week, 15 seconds after power loss would allow it to shut down. |
