Central Nebraska | Without reading every thread here's my suggestion. Find your bank's Funds Availability Policy and read it. Each bank can be different, and can be different for different types of deposits. Pay attention to "on us" or "foreign" deposits. Foreign is generally a check from a different bank, not foreign country. That would be international. I know from bank experience that many banks will actually give you credit for a deposit before they actually have collected the funds and may even be more generous than their Funds Availability Policy says. But the policy still gives them the ability to hold something longer if they so choose to. |
