I converse wis a known crop size analysis once in a while. They are so good that their final numbers are only one bushel from usda in the final column. They were 5 bushels off the final numbers this year which statistically shouldn’t happen. He ask me why I think they are so far off while he scrambles to find the errors from the deracho. I told him I thought the were making up for list yields the last 2 years. For sure they were off by much last year on the PP and northern floods in 2018. They were caught with their pants down this year and couldn’t cover it up.
It seems some torpedoed any talk of crop loss
