You can run AgRemote within HGIS software on a PDA. We actually are using TSIP to log data, plus access the receiver with AgRemote. It’s a menu choice in HGIS. Let me know if you want to try it.

If I remember correct when AgRemote was added to HGIS we could have got fancy with the way the menu looked but then if Trimble made a change (added another menu choice) in the next receiver firmware release, then the non-standard HGIS AgRemote menus would need to be changed also. By sticking with Trimble’s standard AgRemote menu structure, HGIS software does not need to be changed if something changes with the menus on the receivers.

I’m not a fan of AgRemote either but you learn to live with it.
