Almost god’s country | We are in process of switching. Guy backgrounds heifers pushed us into them- $100 premium usually on red vs black on bred replacements. Ours are mixed 70% red 30% black or close to. I have yet to get really hurt by a red compared to a black, temperament seems a little better. Personally I think reds will take heat a bit better just with color but my opinion
Friend in college getting masters than doctorate in ruminant nutrition- family has registered red heard. But looking at taste tests on quality or ranking a steak from all breeds and red angus was the winner. If that matters. | |
