Red is becoming the new black. Good red cattle bring a premium, at least females do. I don't sell feeders so I can't comment there.

My reds are a bit higher strung in the working facilities than my SimAngus and PB Sims, but they are still very manageable, and they are great mothers. I added them a few years ago for some cross breeding ideas I had and after having them and calving their first calves out I decided to keep breeding them purebred RA.

So in short yes I think going red is a great idea.
