I suggest going to visit as many feed milling and blending operations as you can before making a move.

Estimate tonnage
Procurement
Receiving
Processing
Weighment
Formulation
Blending
Further processing
Loadout
Sales/Marketing
Scheduling/Logistics
Accounting
Shrink
Labor

Ive seen feed mills that range from 50 ton per day to 1500 ton per day, how they handle these things is a lot different. Also worthwhile to tour large poultry/swine feed mills, I think some of them are producing north of 3,000 tons per day but probably 75+ % of diet is milled corn... so a different animal than beef cattle feeds.
