Subject: RE: Ear corn

So I was thinking about keeping the earcorn in wagons in barns over winter and grinding as needed. Are you saying maybe even grind all at once and keep the ground feed in the wagon?

I have done well by keeping back heifers. I have been seperatong the heifers at 6 months and feeding them 13.5% creep feed like 10lbs a week and have them on decent pasture with free choice good hay. Neighbors have been buying my heifers and I also just simply need to keep atleast 10% back of my total herd numbers to keep my herd up and also between dad and I we been picking bulls out and trading/swapping. I think just on the bulls we are saving alot and I swear what we raise is as good as anything we buy.
Anyways I wanted to use the ground ear corn as creep like I have but also put some creep feeders in with the herd also.

Also I am buying the creep for I think $7.65 a bag. Not much discount on bulk price. Maybe $.10 per 50lbs.
Not sure if what I am doing is cheaper than all the work?
