Manufacturing uses nat gas and electricity, not so much oil. Our competitors pay same as we do for oil but we pay less for it's transport, fracking here puts a cap on prices the others don't have. Middle east countries are not our manufacturing competitors, as our competitors pay world market prices same a us but no one can touch our nat gas prices.

What we need is more nat gas infrastructure. Environmentalist recently killed our 8 billion pipeline planned for virginia and eastern nc. Could have been a huge manufacturing draw to impoverished eastern nc. Disgrace.
