Through our own lives, we grow in understanding what it really takes to be a successful person, like the vet in your example. It takes a lot of work sometimes to present ourselves in a way that is pleasing to others, to take the time to hold up your end of a conversation, etc, etc.
The problem arises when you start looking at another person for their individual parts, and not as a complete child of God. If you just think of the vet as a pair of legs, or a device for carrying a nice set of boobs, that's where the sin lies, wether you are married or single. |
