My first duty station after basic training was in Germany. I was in a combat arms mos so most of my time was training or deployed so I didn't have a lot of free time. I tried to take advantage of the time I had to travel. A long held opinion of Europeans, especially France, is they are rude. This is not my experience. In their culture it is not the norm to greet someone you meet walking down the street. There is a lot of history that got them to this point. We are getting there much quicker because of this new fangled thing known as "social distancing". We have a big concern about the social development of homeschooled children in this country. Since the onset of covid, many of the adults in this country could take some pointers from homeschooled children on social development.

The Development of social development comes from the parents also even if the kid goes to school

some exposure to the wrong group of kids can be worse than any learning they miss getting home schooled
