| A bit off topic but my 16 year old daughter is a horse girl and good at handling large animals. For the last couple of years she has been helping me castrate feeder bulls. Holds tails, hands me equipment, and operates shoot. I've told her if she ever has problems with boys tell them that she knows how to castrate. I had a retired teacher tell me she could always tell the horse girls as they had the confidence to handle themselves and others around them. Can't help you with vet as mine is an old guy because he's the only one in the area who will treat livestock but it never hurts to admire the scenery. I did see a statistic from 2006 that enrollment in vet schools is 78% female. | |
