I’ve eaten lots of show stock. The cows are usually tasty if they don’t have too much fat on the steak.
The pigs are so lean that the chops are nasty. Grocery store chops are a lot better. We’ve had to feed them milk replacer to get some fat inside the meat. It’s bad when they don’t respond to corn. Quite the shift from my show days when we fed lean maximizer to burn some fat off.
Show calf disconnect?
