halfway between Lapeer and Port Huron, MI | There’s trucks that guy’s like to polish and make pretty that don’t get them dirty. Then there’s the ones that are just in “it” everyday, some guys wash the work trucks some don’t. At the end of the day they’re all trucks. The moral here is: pick which one you want to be and don’t knock the other guy or kids in this situation. I’ve heard this argument for years and it really grinds me. There’s some kids that take a lot of pride in their animal. There’s some that are just rope holders for a steer jockey. Then there’s the ones that pull one out of the feedlot 2 days before the fair that’s wild and not safe to be around. The latter is usually the one who’s dad is bitching all fair week that “that’s how real life cattle are supposed to be raised. Maybe it is how they’re supposed to be raised but, dang it put some effort into the project and some pride. I’ve seen high dollar steers lose to a homegrown out of an old commercial cow. I’ll stop here. |
