I did the same as Jason, not a bad job, just need the feeder chain out, a guy can get in there and stitch weld it in. I drill a bunch of 1/2” holes in rows across the A/R plate and plug welded the sheet in. I think I had to notch out the front corners a bit if I remember correctly. I also had a slight bend done on the sheet at the metal shop I bought if from. Took an angle finder with me with the correct angle. I hope not to ever have to deal with it again.
