It makes it tough to mange lands, someone is always trying to trump someone on who has the power to mange these lands. So when fire starts BLM or FS will roll into the fire and kick private and county fire crews off and take over so they get paid and justify their budgets.
This parts just has me shaking my head. I guess the analogy for city dwellers would be if the local social security office caught fire and the feds made the city fire department go home because it was federal property that was burning.
Russ, I really appreciate your posts. You give a thorough explanation of the way things are done out west and educate a lot of us from the rest of the country and world. |
