Without looking numbers up I would say for the time period since coronavirus started, the USA mortality rate has had between a 17 and 21% increase. I believe around 4% of that is caused by the reaction to the virus rather than the virus itself so I think the real number is around 13 to 17%.

I believe over the next year it is likely that our all-cause deaths will be below normal because many of the more susceptible people who would have died in the next year passed from coronavirus. So I expect that 13-17% increase to start getting heavily offset by a lower than normal all-cause deaths period.
