| We had a 5 wt steer break a hind leg when it got caught in the loading chute unloading in a pasture in the spring. We let it go as there wasn’t a way to catch it in the big pasture. A floppy break, but it eventually fused with about a 30 degree bend forward. He didn’t walk too bad and made it to fat in the feed yard, though he looked pretty rough the first month or so on pasture. Didn’t spend a dime on him but I’m sure we were lucky he lived. | |
