Got a 4 month old heifer calf that broke a rear leg, half way between the ankle and knee. Probably a week ago. Calf seems healthy otherwise and gets around well. Break is floppy. I put cow and calf in a small pen with hay and water. Couple months like that has worked before but never had one floppy like this. What say NAT? Ignore it, splint it, or eat it now?
