I never called you a name. I said I didn't know. Something is obviously off if you can't admit it takes 60 votes for the Senate to pass a new Coronavirus package.
Stupid is the name you used. My point was a bill in senate takes 50 votes plus the tie breaking vote of the VP to pass, you are saying it takes 60 votes to pass. Your point is not correct, but I understand that to get to a vote you need to end debate which takes the 60. Now, my original point in this whole mess was that the party that likes to pander to free market conservatives has control of the senate and the white house but we still ended up with a massive CARES act full of opportunity for fraud, waste, and abuse. |
