| CFAP 2.0
Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Purdue has announced a second round of the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) will be released in the next two weeks due to the need for additional assistance for farmers to deal with the market fallout from the coronavirus pandemic. As for our understanding of the content of CFAP 2.0, row crops will be included based on 2020 planted acres and will account for market drops in 2020. However, without additional Congressional dollars overall payments will have to be at lower levels of support than MFP 1 and MFP 2. We will continue to work for additional dollars to be allocated to the program.
Saw this on National Sorghum Producers. The row crop payments are tied to 2020 planted acres. We will see if that's how it goes. | |
