East Central Ks | Thinner is not better in cow feeding. Cows to be fed are younger ( good teeth) cows in better condition. The real gain is made changing the fat color from yellow to white. That is going to take 100 days plus or minus. Lots of cows are fed in this country. Go tour many commercial feedlots they are not all steers and heifers, many have several pens of cows on feed as well. Low end steak houses need a cheap steak to sell. | |
