Subject: Feeding cows

North Central MN
Anyone fatten out open or slaughter cows? Looking to dry something different this year as I've cleaned out of this years fats and bawling black babies are holding their own locally. Hard to pencil the beef to finish. North Central MN.
What can I expect? I can assume they will take up more space and eat more than colored fats. What do people do for intake protocol? Marketing options? COG? My feed options are BMR sorghum/corn silage/rolled high h20 corn/ddgs/teff.
I know people are doing this already but new to me. TIA
