| Gro-mor is right on the price. That’s what all retailers charge in this area. Not a lot of “outside” competition. That’s the biggest reason we ground apply all of our fungicide. Second being coverage. The cost is still gonna run about half of what your paying. We’re applying name brands (delaro,veltyma or top guard) do several trials with different products. Also put a generic insecticide and a nitrogen product like maximum impact. Which is what nutrien is probably using. Coron is what we use it’s a little cheaper. I’ve been figuring on 5 bpa to break even. Most years you will see 5 bpa. We don’t question whether we are going to spray. I always question the timing though. However if we start 3 days post tassel we will be hard brown silk before we finish. I feel like we probably miss the sweet spot on some of it. | |
