NC Indiana | When I was looking last fall, I could get an HP machine w/ a 17" flat screen for $550 at Radio Shack. I ended up getting a Lenovo M57E 160G through friends who work for Lenovo in a warehouse sale for $199. I found a 19" flat screen on ebay for $125 and then received 30% back via live.com cash back. The one draw back I ran into was bc of sale, windows office products were only included as trial versions, but you could still use the internet, and I found I could buy '07 w/ the office features for $20 via an employee discount program my wife job offered.
I'd try to clean the HD first, but don't dump a lot of $ into that old of a machine. I've had people brag how they updated their old computers for $250, and I just laugh. | |
