North Liberty and South Bend, Indiana | Only negatives I have noticed is the weight. There is nearly zero weight transfered to the tractor. Which means its all on the carrier wheels. Leads to no traction from the tractor and when everyone says they are a boat anchor they are wrong. More like ship anchor. When you start to spin just stop right there. Do not lift it. Just stop and get another tractor. The horsepower needed is much higher than other planters. And the piviot bushings are an issue. Top one is a cake job to replace and probably should be checked yearly and replaced often. Probably replacing top one prevents bottom one from needing replaced aa often. I need to change the bottom one on our 16-30 and am changing top one on our 16/31. I really like the 16/31 for soybeans. |
