| We have an 04 model for about 7 yrs now. We use an 8970 new Holland on it and in the hills wouldn't want anything smaller 12/23. The one thing that causes more problems than anything is the leaks on tractor and the hoses on the planter which could be solved by replacing all the hoses but as far as downtime very minimal if you do prevent maintenance. But we like the option to change seed rate on the go. Like every machine it has its pros and cons. Imo I think it's lacking in the singulation department,we are thinking about a kinze for corn and keeping IH for soybeans. It is a cheaper way to get into a central fill planter which was our case when we went from a Allis Chalmers planter | |
