| Well, I am also rather envious of some of those soils that have so much water-holding capacity. But the fact is, we are talking about a lot of dirt that is better off with several weeks of no rain once the crops are pretty well established than they are when 5-10 acres out of an 80 are drowned out or replanted. Now, if we threw 10 days of 102 degrees and 20 mph+ winds into the equation, then I would concede that more hurt would be happening than with the current scenario. |
