Pierce county WI
So, if you want to pick what you want out of the forecast, you are welcome to. He did not say it's 100% cool August. It's cool a few days in. Will it continue cool? 04 falls well within my career. This year is not 2004. A cool August is putting it mildly. During our county Fair it got cold enough to have some frost just ding a couple low spots that year. I don't remember an especially early frost, but corn was wet. We have had a very warm summer to date. Has it negatively affected it? The dry in Western Iowa is no joke. I drove through there today headed towards home. South East Nebraska was getting rain. Through council bluffs, and probably around Avoca, it stopped. Is this crop going to be a disaster? No. Is it a giant in the bin already take a year off crop? No. The answer lies in between there somewhere. I got 99 problems, but this forecast ain't one.
