The consumer should be the one driving manufacturing back here, especially since they’ll have to pay the increased costs associated with doing so. Until then, Americans love them some China products. But, obviously, if you’re on the “everything under the sun is China’s fault” train and follow the president in calling coronavirus the “WuHan virus” you’re pretty well dug in I’d think.

This is where you don’t get it, regulations and taxes were strangling US business, Trump deregulated all the restrictive business regulations put in place by the prior administrations and dropped the corporate tax down to reasonable world rates (they were the highest in the world) which alleviated many hurdles strangling onshore production. Now with the proof coming out today from a doctor that said China did indeed try to hide the knowledge of Covid from the rest of the world, it’s time to cut ties for good in all phases if possible. Many more friendly countries are willing to do business with the US, I would like to see us work with India. The CIA or maybe another organization stated this week that over half of the complaints filed, it was like 9400 total, are complaints about technology theft from China. If your partner is banging your wife are you still gonna be friends with him? It’s time to cut the cord. It’s a lot to handle right now with 8 years of monster crops and livestock piled on top of each other and all the civil unrest but it’ll get better, it always does. And if you think Biden is better, he announced he’s gonna be tougher on China than Trump is, so there’s that.
