Iowa | 2 years ago I was standing in the ICU at 4 am with one arm around my mom and the other holding my wife's hand. I had to tell my mom that it was ok to let him go. she was struggling to give the ok to the doctor to stop. Watching my dad die was not something I never wanted to do and I sure didn't ever plan on making the call. Life is sometimes not that great of a place.
