guys above pretty well nailed it,
If you have an 8 sp your lucky and it will be easier
If you have the 24sp you more than likely have blown o rings at the least, and maybe warped plates also. Don't run it till it's fixed or you will warp the plates.
Unless it's cherry or you can do the work yourself, just junk it.
