Jefferson, SD | I just do the spraying for a landlord each year on about 6 acres of pumpkins. We've tried many things the past few years and have settled on doing tillage the day he plants, then following up with dual II and command before they emerge (and maybe add some glyphosate to get any newcomers). Needs a rain to work really well but we've been catching enough and it's pretty darn solid. The command does tend to drift a little into my beans or corn close by but only a couple rows and it recovers in about a week. Wouldn't want to do it next to anyone but myself. We also move the patch around to follow corn/beans that had good weed control the year before. | |
