King City, Mo
Between the rows you can get more aggressive in your herbicide choices to keep weeds down.

Pumpkins in row - dual, reflex

When I planted into wheat straw it cost me a lot of money as they didn’t come up well and yield well.

This year I shredded the wheat with brush cutter 2x, let dry and had my 9 year old shred it with zero turn.

Had the rows tilled up.

Sprayed field with dual and gly. Didn’t have any reflex.

Then sprsyed away from the worked ground with valor xlt I had.

Planted pumpkins with middle row of kinze planter.

Came back and hit with treflan over the row yesterday and tilled 4’ on each side.

Rows are spaced out too far but if we get them squash vine bore bugs or mildew fungus I can spray for em my self.
