I consulted with some old time growers before I tried pumpkins. Three bushels of wheat sowed in fall, and notill punkins into that, burndown and then mow with the discbine and ted it out, worked pretty good here, had a nice mulch mat that kept the weeds at bay and the fruit off the dirt.
