| A close friend of mine rented the same farm ground from 1950 up until June of 2019. That was when he passed away. I’m not sure if he rented any of the other farms longer or not. He did own some farms, but had to rent other ground as it was not for sale. I remember him talking about how he raised cattle in a town up until the town grew and then no longer allowed it in the city limits. So those properties in town no longer could hold cattle. Back when he was younger he competed in rodeos on weekends and sold insurance at his office in town. He became a county judge too and kept farming and ranching. I don’t know how he handled it all and raised a family too. | |
