Like you, hard to put a start date on it, steered hay wagons when I was 6/7, drove on the road the first time when I was 8, been in a hay field every summer since then so .......more than 55.....
As far as generations go, no idea, assume farming was a part of most everyone's day long ago. Family history says we came to Ohio in 1789 and tussled with the Indians while trying to farm.
